Thread Mill is a Canadian indie electronic project led by singer, songwriter and producer Ariane Sisavath, based in Montreal, Québec. Guitarist Pier-Luc Perron joins her on several productions.

 

Thread Mill takes you into a dreamy and vapory electronic music adventure, mainly inspired by genres like Electronica, Synthpop, Synthwave and 80’s New Wave. Their sound involves synthesizers and electric guitars on which Ariane lays her sweet, airy voice.

 

Now teaming up with Sono Music Group Label, Thread Mill will release SHADOWS on May 27th, a mesmerizing dark electronica journey in which she exposes one's fragilities.

Ariane and Pier-Luc have been playing music together for about 4 years, mainly in the Folk-pop and Pop-rock genres. In spring 2020, Ariane started to consider putting up an electronic project, which had been a dream of hers since as far as she can remember. Pier-Luc immediately hopped in the project and they started to build Thread Mill’s dreamy and melancholic music universe.​

Released on September 24 2021, In Limbo (EP) addresses the inner world of protagonists in search of meaning and emancipation from their feelings of loss and anxiety.​

 

In December 2020, the duo released their self-produced debut EP called “The City Sleeps”, which offers the listener Thread Mill’s very own interpretation of the Retrowave musical genre and aesthetic. Their debut EP was shared on The ‘80s Guy, an important YouTube channel in the Synthwave scene and its subgenres.
